How Swimming Nature could help you

We teach beginners and train athletes. We build confidence in nervous first-timers and refine technique in competent swimmers. However old you are, whatever level you’re at, Swimming Nature can help.

By combining highly structured modular lesson plans, small class sizes and hands-on, in-water instructor attention, we ensure you or your child makes rapid and visible progress.

Not only do we emphasise the mechanics of the four strokes, but we teach the how, why and what behind effortless, energy-efficient swimming, so with Swimming Nature, you’ll swim faster, better and in harmony with your body.

COVID-19 Measures

You will see at Fitness First Streatham that Covid -19 measures have been introduced in line with guidance from our governing bodies. These are measure have been added for the safety of you, your children and the Fitness First team, we ask that the changes are respected and adhered, and we thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Customer pre visit information: Fitness First are operating a phased return to service and as such Swimming Lessons are a supervised service. As part of the new safety measures, each lessons must be escorted to and from the pool by a Swimming Nature Pool Concierge. Pupils and carers and not permitted to make their own way into the venue without this supervision. There will be a limit of 1 carer per child allowed.

Pupil preparation: Please arrive pool ready. You will be required change on poolside for your lessons and dry off on poolside before leaving. There is a strict policy at this venue in place to reduce the touch points a customer has and as such prams and push chairs are not permitted in the venue for pupils in Frog level lessons upward.

Arrival at venue: You must arrive 10 minutes early and customers will be required to sign in and out on the NHS  QR code that will be provided by the pool concierge. Temperatures will be checked at reception and if over 38 degrees, you will be asked to leave and you must contact Swimming Nature immediately. Hand sanitiser stations are located at reception  and throughout. We ask that you regularly clean your hands whilst in the venue. You are required to wear a face mask, they can be purchased at Reception if needed. Lost property is being kept at the venue, but we ask all customers to check they have all their belongings before they leave. Prams/Push Chairs will not be allowed in this venue.

Journey around the building: The journey around the building has not changed but is now highlighted with arrows. The Pool Concierge will escort customers along this route. Swimmers must come ready to swim and have pre showered if possible.

Changing rooms layout and rules.  As part of strict government guidelines, towel hire has stopped and will not be available in a Fitness First Health Club. Changing rooms are in use but we ask that all pupils arrive swim ready and make there way to the poolside door where there can dress down for their lesson. We encourage all pupils to pre shower at home if possible. When leaving pupils must towel down to dry off only and leave the venue as quickly as possible. There is a poolside shower available to rinse off. Water fountains are not in use and pupils must bring their own water, and blue over shoes must always be worn whilst on poolside. Can we also ask that parents (along with children) swiftly vacate the club when your lesson is over as the lounge in Fitness First is not available. Again, this is simply to reduce traffic allows Fitness First to manage capacity levels with more ease.

Poolside: The pool is now accessed by the entrance door next to the disabled  changing room. This is to reduce time in the changing rooms. Poolside viewing is strictly 1 parent/guardian to 1 pupil.  The pool hall has a one-way system in place to reduce people crossing over with each other. Pupils must dress down next to the aqua bikes and wait to be called to their lesson by the teacher. Parents can then wait on the blue benches on poolside. Once the lesson is finished the pupil and guardian must make their way to the dry off area outsider the sauna and steam room. The pupil can towel down and dry off before leaving. The showers are not to be used. Once changed you will be escorted to reception by the Pool Concierge.

White speech marks After two sessions with Beatrice, my fears have been replaced with calm, controlled love of being in the water, and I have actually begun to swim
