We teach beginners and train athletes. We build confidence in nervous first-timers and refine technique in competent swimmers. However old you are, whatever level you’re at, Swimming Nature can help.
By combining highly structured modular lesson plans, small class sizes and hands-on, in-water instructor attention, we ensure you or your child makes rapid and visible progress.
Not only do we emphasise the mechanics of the four strokes, but we teach the how, why and what behind effortless, energy-efficient swimming, so with Swimming Nature, you’ll swim faster, better and in harmony with your body.
You will see at George Watson that Covid -19 measures have been introduced in line with guidance from our governing bodies. These are measure have been added for the safety. With this in mind George Watson has a policy of parents of pupils over 6 years old are not permitted to enter the building. Pupils will be collected at the entrance and escorted to poolside for their lessons. Pupils will need to change after their lessons in the changing rooms and will be escorted back to reception for pick up. Children under 6 years old can be accompanied. Swimming Nature has exclusive use of the pool and changing rooms during swimming lessons. For the safety of you, your children, our instructors and the George Watson team, we ask that the changes are respected and adhered and we thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Changing rooms layout and rules.
Changing rooms are open for drying down after the lesson sonly. Showers are not in use.
The pool is now accessed by the entrance door next to the female changing rooms. This is to reduce time in the changing rooms. Poolside viewing is strictly 1 parent/guardian to 1 pupil under 6 years old. The pool hall has a one-way system in place to reduce people crossing over with each other. This sign posted on poolside. Once the lesson is finished the pupil and guardian must make their way to the changing rooms. The pupil can towel down and dry off only before leaving. The showers are not to be used.
After two sessions with Beatrice, my fears have been replaced with calm, controlled love of being in the water, and I have actually begun to swim
